Why does the top of the dog's head seem blurry?

Thumbsup for originality!!! Most unusual picture I've seen in a while. Good work on blending the 3 photos, I can imagine it must have been hard with the dogs fur.

Jean, I can't help but wonder that this would have worked better done from an oblique to 3/4 angle. From this perspective this lacks the extra impact that such a clever image deserves. Such can be the limitations of compositing. best regards - Gary

The top of the dogs head is blurry, Jennifer, because stratiform cloud can be very low, in fact when it touches the ground, or the Great Danes head in this case, it is called fog..Looks like the dog is airborne though, so maybe the flight conditions were not that critical for take off. Fun concept..

Jennifer, Thomas, yes the blur is not exactly wanted on this picture, but it results from the sky (that was blurred to eliminate some grain)... bad job....jean
