I am loving this! Here's what I find so appealing: It seems to start out from left to right as a composition making good use of line, but then the line is disrupted by the gap. It seems as though the line attempts to continue on the other side of the gap, but it has trouble doing so and then eventually order is restored as we get to the far upper right-hand corner of the image. I like the simplicity of the landscape and imagine it is being used to tell a more complex story. This is my interpretation as I enjoy looking at this image.

I'm really impressed that you go the texture of the snow and the back side of posts. Did you have to massage it a lot to get that wide a range of tones?

In my eyes an excellent photo in any point of view. The texture of the snow is magnificent
