Barb N' Art II, Alternate (B&W)

I did this in both color and black and white, with a little different

cropping but the same image. No toning this time on the black and

I was interested in this from the thumbnail, but I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy it. Upon opening the larger view the sharpness really made this photo for me. Great use of DOF and macro photography. It's interesting that the wire that supports the barb appears to be a different color. That isn't usually the case. Very well done.

Thomas, the apparent difference in color between the wire and the barb is strictly due to the lighting - the sun is shining on top of the wire, and the camera is facing the shadow side of the barb. Thanks - Cecil

Barbed wire is just a great subject. I really like this one. It tells a story in an image!
