bumble bee

I like the close up view of these animals, especially when covered with pollen, but i realize now, from this photo, i needed slihtly higher depth of field, for this magnification.

the depth of field would not have been a problem if the petals in the foreground were removed..other than that,i really like this, the internal flower parts seem to swirl up to the subject(bee)and really add to this shot...beautiful lighting and good sharpness...great shot

i like this photo. its intresting how you placed the flower in the foreground. it seems a little

distracting to suject, the bee, but it gives the creative edge which often defines ones style. keep up the good work

I also think that the flower petals in the foreground are distracting. Without them you would have a very striking and clean (without distractions) photo. As it is, I still like it :). Your DOF isn't too restrictive here. Often time it is though, so it is prudent to take care and always know how much DOF you have.
