Donald, I like your positioning of the gentleman over to the left. Also, the photo being taken just last year, there is an interesting 1950-60s feel here. Not necessarily because of the protest itself...

This photo does have an "older" look to it. I didn't think policemen wore the trenchcoat & gleaming badge combination much any more. He's striking quite the Eliot Ness pose, isn't he?

 

There's not much light, so to speak, asides from the aforementioned gleaming badge. Still, the composition is right on, and it was certainly worth taking the shot.

 

One last thought: how would this image be viewed if the title were changed? Myself, I don't see anything to show the protest that is going on. I see it as more of the edge of a crime scene.
