Constructive criticism requested.

What could I have done better with this one? (I realize it is a

little distorted due to the use of a fisheye on this shot.)

I had to look at this for a while to try and figure out what was bothering me. I think it's actually the clash in colors that is getting me. it's a nicely composed shot, but the blue in the structure and the blue in the sky are just bugging me for some reason. Is the sky the actual color? I see the star filter, and that's nice. I don't want you to make anything fake here, but if something is fake about it, you might want to change it back, or do a different shade maybe. As far as composition goes, you have 2/3 of your shot covered by the structure, that's a lot of space, be careful with that. Don'y lose your style, but you do want to be careful about your composition. I would say you are on the edge between bad composition and art.... ( which is a very fine line) You see to have a creative streak, so I look forward to seeing what you do in the future. Good luck.

These were the actual colors that resulted from this shot. (Maybe my white balace was off) No photoshoping was done to this shot, and no filters were used. I am not sure where the starburst on the moon came from...

I quite like the effect of the shot and am impressed it looks this good with digital. It's very sharp for night work.

The starburst effect is normal for a point light source and a decent lens. It surprised me that it says you used a fish-eye for this. It doesn't seem that distorted. Good work!

I quite like the image. About the starburst! Although I am not sure I have read somewhere that this lens produces this kind of effect when wide open with lond exposures. When I tried IR photoraphy with this lense it produced a huge hot spot in the center and I learnt that it was also due to a similar effect of this lens. Anyway, although I sold the lens back to a recycle shop (Fujiya), as you still own this lens perhaps you may explore on these lines

I like the color, I think it has a great mood. In looking at the photo, I wish it had more space on top and it could probably even crop a little of the left side of the base of the lantern to move it a bit more off center and balance it.
