Diego Velazquez "crucifixion"

ok, don't get angry or anything, im not anti-christian, and im not

into nailing women up to anything. I had to act out a painting so i

chose diego's crucifixion. I wanted a women as christ because i

wanted to ask the question of who is christ? How much do we know

about this person? please tell me what you think.

Nice setup, for me a follow-up portrait (a series) would be a closer cropped shot of the models head and shoulders. Nice work.

Boy, oh boy...you're in the wrong country, dude. I'm sure not many people in Minnesottah (I'm in da Twin Cities) to say the least even know who Velázquez was, and hardly even make the slight connection to Salvador Dalí...all they'll see is offensiveness. My hats off to you for your exploration into creativity.

Issues aside, the photo isn't done as well as it could be. I think you need more of the top of the cross showing, more dramatic light, and you need to have the model "sell" it a little more - she looks quite comfrtable and not at all crucified.

although this picture could be aesthetically improved, it's a great thought provoking image. I hope you 'll keep producing similar works!
