LenMarriott 9 Posted June 8, 2004 Nicholas, Not too original, (who, on the planet, hasn't seen a shot of this location?) but beautiful light for revealing the textures. Just enough cloud in the sky to keep it from becoming boring. Also, good decision to crop as a panorama. A slightly higher (car roof?) camera viewpoint would have kept some of the vegetation from obscuring the bottom of the rock formation. Great result for your efforts. Best, LM. Link to comment
nicholasprice 0 Posted June 17, 2004 Fair comment about the need for a slightly higher perspective, but I had a convertable! Link to comment

neild 1 Posted January 30, 2005 A great photo to have in one's collection, even though people never will see it as original! By the way, I've lived in Australia for over 30 years now and still have never been to 'the rock'... it always takes a tourist to see these places, don't you think?!! Link to comment
peter_daalder 0 Posted March 1, 2005 I've lived in Australia for over 20 years now and also haven't been to Uluru. That said, this is definitely one of the nicest images of it, that I have come across. You should be very happy to have captured this beautiful light on the rock. Link to comment
whinterberger 0 Posted March 1, 2005 Well, I haven't been there(at the 'rock') for 41 years,we had Kodachrome or K.2 then; it probably has shrunk since then, everything seems to be shrinking as you get older ;o))...really nice shot, good colours. Link to comment
christian.s.mendes 0 Posted March 3, 2005 Very interesting the use you did of the shadows and sun light, and composition using first and second planes. Nice shot. Link to comment
