I love this shot. I think you captured a bit of her personality in this scene.

Poor Birdie....Bentes serving up frozen iced seeds again...Bente if you really loved your wild birds you would put out nice warmed seeds in the morning for them to eat ;-) LOL

LOL Verna - do you want the recipe for this meal? Lots of raisins, nuts, pieces of apples, seeds of sunflowers, oatmeal and fat ... and they love it. This one blackbird is special to me. After having taking several photos of her I noticed there is something wrong with leg. She never uses it and she can't jump as other blackbirds normally can. When she is eating or trying to jump she compensates for the missing balance by flapping with the opposite wing. She seems to manage well although having this handicap ... and now I look for her every day. I think she in a way is a little beauty. Any way thanks for the comment (-:

Maybe you should sew her a little pair of furry slippers for the injured foot ...... (-;

I agree completely with Verna and Ken. Warm suet and flurry slippers are the only way to go with this scene. --jim
