jennifercatron 11 Posted February 10, 2004 Colors here may be just a little too much on the blue side. I see what you were attempting, and I actually agree that it would work, but you need more of the sky in color, and a little softer on the blue I think. However all that said, this is a wonderful piece. It would sell very well. Link to comment
dimitri_fousekis 0 Posted February 10, 2004 a very nice picture, combining the coldness of the snow with the "hot" color of the sunrise. Well captured. Link to comment
brian_joy 0 Posted February 10, 2004 Beautiful, but I think a little too blue for me as well. Just my opinion though! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 11, 2004 Igor, this is a very good winter mood photo. Perhaps 50% less saturation on the ground and 10% less in the sky would create a dynamic contrast? Link to comment
troy_hamon 0 Posted February 11, 2004 I love it, blue and all. Beautiful sky and wonderful foreground. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted February 11, 2004 Unique and beautiful as it is. Real cold day. The blues make this highly original. Link to comment
richard van hoesel 0 Posted February 12, 2004 A gorgeous scene and excellent choice of exposure Igor but a bit too blue for me too, particularly in the foreground. I think I'd punch up the curves a bit for the foreground in the revised version that was posted. Link to comment
poutnik 1 Posted February 12, 2004 It's a wonderfull shot, the coldness "radiates" from it, the blue tone is wonderfull. And the suggestion from Gary makes it perfect... Jiri Link to comment
alberto.conde 0 Posted February 12, 2004 Gary's suggestion is great but you already acknowledged it. Very interesting and beautiful shot in any case. Congrats. Link to comment
thomas_turk 0 Posted February 12, 2004 I would have tilted the camera down and only shot the sky to just above the highest bit of pink..The rest of the sky has little information, and tends to detract from the foreground..The ground has plenty of interesting information, and also gives the shot the main feeling...It would then have had a much more earthier feeling, which I think was intended. Blank it off and see if u like it better..The mood and colors r perfect. ...What do u think Igor... Link to comment
jos www.inpix.biz 0 Posted February 13, 2004 Wonderful Feeling Generated by this photo for me...I too believe the sky could be cropped down to maintain focus on the primary elements of interest. Great shot! Link to comment
hugh_hill 0 Posted May 28, 2004 This reminds me so much of the beautiful water colours my friend sends me from Russia the colours here are spectacular. Link to comment

wilson_photography 0 Posted July 4, 2006 I agree with Thomas about the upper portions of the sky being a bit flat and less than interesting. Aside from that "WOW"! I love it! Link to comment
loadofjunk 0 Posted May 30, 2008 I absolutely love the colors in this photo. Being from Northern Minnesota I can relate to this image very easily. Natures beauty at it's finest! Link to comment

jake_cornelius 0 Posted June 25, 2010 I disagree with those that think the sky is boring - it provides a contrast of texture against the bottom half of the photo. It also allows the photo to become a color study.I love shooting in the blue hour, but I'm usually not up early enough for this one! Link to comment
