I think if you could have used a polarizer in there (I know lighting is usually low) then the reflections would be minimal and you'd see her better. Perhaps zooming closer in on her face in combination with the polarizer to make her face clear would increase the appearance that she is sad. Right now I think we get the idea but the colors are sallow and its hard to see her.

I enjoy the image as is. I may adjust the "curves" in Photoshop to make the blacks blacker and the whites whiter. Other than that minor opinion, it is good street photography.
