Rob_L1664876404 0 Posted February 5, 2004 I agree - this is a striking image. I suspect some of the negative reactions are related to the over-saturation of the colors. Normalizing the saturation a little would still yield a remarkable image and reduce the slightly "fake" feel (and probably the concerns about manipulation). Beautiful setting. Link to comment
robert semnic 0 Posted February 5, 2004 DEar Guilermo! I like the picture but I have impression that you fused two pictures, because the edges of the tree does not match the background sky Link to comment
tyler_woods 0 Posted February 6, 2004 The sky really moves me. I love the contrast and colors. Link to comment
manuel.rincon 0 Posted February 6, 2004 I love light just before a storm. I guess this was the case. Amazing! Link to comment
deozmac 0 Posted February 6, 2004 C'mon please Guillermo, is this two images combined or not? A lot of us are intrigued. Either way the imagery and colours are amazing. Link to comment
nomade 1 Posted February 6, 2004 I agree that there's some "artifitiality" on it. The colors are really saturated, and it's not the film, but that's more a matter of personal taste, not a flaw. What IS a flaw is the not so well handled edges between the foreground and the sky: on the branches of the tree in the top, on the horizon line, on the bushes on the left... I suggest to work on that part again, the sky is amazing, it looks almost like a texture. Link to comment
bacsa 0 Posted February 6, 2004 It's a good composition,it would look interesting in black and white (grin) Now seriously, why do you have to pump up the colors in such a terrible way? To me, it looks like one of the kitschiest paintings on a flea market. If that was your goal, congratulations. Link to comment
jannis 0 Posted February 6, 2004 a fantastic surrealistic photo. The light, the colours and the composition are all wonderful Link to comment
Link to comment
guillelobera 0 Posted February 6, 2004 Probably...It´s one of my worse photos and nevertheless It´s that more rating has. Why?... Thanks for your comments and ratings. Link to comment
leopoldo 0 Posted February 6, 2004 Tremenda foto. Saludos Leo Garcia / Venezuela Link to comment
!Felicidades! Link to comment
Felicidades Guillermo!! Link to comment
falvarez 0 Posted February 7, 2004 why would photo.net upload a picture like this? This is a PHOTO of the WEEK? Lighting is way off, looks totally manipulated. Horrible work! take it away! Link to comment
sprouty 0 Posted February 7, 2004 Does anyone actually look out side at the world around them anymore? Or do you all just stare at a computer for 20 hours a day? Do you really have to ask if this has been manipulated? Please, spend some time looking at the rest of his portfolio. There is wonderful work in there, this is just a just an exercise in saturation overload. Guillermo you must be laughing your ass-off at all this fawning. Link to comment
i_rapte_your_photos 0 Posted February 7, 2004 This is a great photo, well balance with the right lighting and colors. Link to comment

Link to comment
sammm 0 Posted February 14, 2004 Guillermo, The answer to your question may be obvious, but I'll say it anyways: the number of ratings comes from the fact that it is such a splashy, surrealistic image, and from the fact that once the ratings and praise start around here they usually just keep going. Frankly, I can't judge where it falls among your images because of the heavy photoshopping, so I haven't rated it; but the photoshopping is very good and this could be a great illustration to a kid's book, for example.
