Guest Guest Posted October 12, 2001 Great detail. The forms, light and shadows all work together. Also, it's an excellent example of getting close enough to your subject to do it justice.Wouldn't know how to fault this one. Link to comment
seancrane 0 Posted November 2, 2001 Chris, I was just reading a few of the comments on that moronic thread attached to this weeks POW. I scrolled down to the bottom, saw your comment and for some reason thought I would like your portfolio. I was right. Nice stuff. Real nice. Link to comment

mg 0 Posted December 7, 2001 A word to the killers... to those who dared to under-rate this portfolio... beyond any possible matter of opinion, I can't accept the idea that this picture deserves a 4 in Aesthetics... How much one likes a picture should only matter to a certain point, for excellence in parameters like angle, composition, lighting, aren't more a matter of opinion than the fact that there is or isn't any gaz left in the kitchen... If one prefers pictures of dogs in gardens with a sharp house of a neighbour at the back, it is allowed, but shouldn't translate into a rejection of anything different... For a word one person says, an artist might lose belief in himself, and that's called a murder, because self-confidence is half of what an artist has to move forward - the other half being his love... As for the picture above, it isn't personally my favorite but it gets a double ten, because it is just PERFECT in all aspects - and I believe this to be an objective statement... Those who under-rate images by 5 or 8 points often hit and run, rather than justifying their opinions, and I really regret this, but it has a clear cause: they CAN'T make their point...
