I screwed up, I printed the photo and realized that it was upside down, which explains why the light was under the arch! Good photo either way, but I like it better the way I posted it so I'm leaving it unchanged.

Dig it...I though for sure you had posted it sideways on purpose. Great abstract this way. Have you tried converting to B&W? cc

Remarkable, but even after I realized that the original post was wrong I still though the image was off by 180 deg. You're right, the above should be rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise which leads to a perfectly good picture of an arch shot from below and the waterpockets all in the right places. I just tried converting to B&W, to me the B&W is too flat, but I'm not very good at B&W conversions.

Thanks for taking the time to do this B&W conversion, I now know how to use channel mixer to do B&W and will think about this in the future. I still like the color upside down verison the best. I enjoyed your web site esp. the morning gossip photo and next time I get to Moab I'll stop by your gallery.
