Thank you for the suggestion. I have heard about these noise reduction plugins but I have not tested them yet. I'll certainly have a look.

Thank you for the comment. DOF (with low-light photography) is one of the reasons I'm considering a DSLR... even though I love the portability and maniability of the digicam. I can't imagine I'm seriously considering packing a big camera again but..

 

I find that increasing the DOF with PS is difficult for this kind of photo. I can't seem to select the hair and clothes correctly. Comments welcomed...

Yes I meant decreasing, sorry for the confusion.

Are you refering to the lens blur filter? I have just upgrade from Elements to CS so it's difficult to justify buying a plugin right now :-)
