davidlier 0 Posted January 27, 2004 I like the feeling of light that I get from this photo, but would tone down the bright spot in the middle. I think it serves a purpose, but too bright and it looks fake. Link to comment
david_smith35 0 Posted January 28, 2004 In spite of the small image size, I was attracted to this picture. Very nice composition, and I like the warm colours in the background. Not too sure about the light spot in the middle though - was this mist or an effect of the light? Link to comment
jtuck 0 Posted January 28, 2004 it is fog from the river, not traditional fog as there was earlier on that day... Link to comment
thomas_turk 0 Posted January 30, 2004 Shutter speed too slow.. Nothing wrong with photographing water as water. We lost the 'water' and now have an ice or mist river. Colors rather dull. If the composition is not strict and clear , the picture cannot be extra ordinary.. We now see an ordinary photo of a river, that appears as mist or ice, running through a darkish, dull forest with a bright patch further up, and some sun on the back trees. Link to comment
jtuck 0 Posted January 30, 2004 "tou'chez" friend, quite an objective critique; less the delivery method... Link to comment
jtuck 0 Posted January 30, 2004 And feel free to view a higher resolution copy at my website www.jtgalleries.com (the photo.net size restrictions are dissapointing) Link to comment
david_smith35 0 Posted January 30, 2004 I've just had a look at this image (again) on your website - definitely an improvement, and you are able to see more detail in the background. Can't see anything wrong with 'misty' water myself, in fact I quite like the effect. We can't all like the same thing - thank goodness! Link to comment
