An supurb image. The backlighting and exposure are perfect.

I like it. Have you tried it in B&W? Given that there aren't many colors in this, and many textures, it might work better. Just a thought. chris

I printed one out in B&W in Matte. You guys a right, its not bad, but personally I like the drama color adds here. But the B&W looks like a shot from the mid-40's. Thanks for looking.

Really a nice shot with good backlighting. My personal preference would be B&W, but this one works very well.

Great shot. You were really lucky to be there. I think it may work even better if you crop it so the rails aren't showing, that way it looks like it's floating on clouds.

Scott, I like the shot. But the jpeg is quite small, so some of the impact is lost. Maybe spring for a few extra pixels? Your camera should have a few more left in it.

think i agree that colour is good here but maybe crop on rhs (or clone out)and loose the lights

A really powerful shot. Really nice capture of the smoke and great composition. I agree with one of the other comments: a larger picture would give more visual impact. BTW, I'm an internist. What's your speciality?

I love steam-engines. I love your picture. I do however agree about loosing the lampposts. They are distracting.
