"One more press..."

michael cohen

"one more press..." that the Doctor asking , encoureging the women that giving berth, make the whole diffarence between the critical momment when the babe is still depend on his mother for feeding and "breathing" and the first breathing of the babe by himself. It is very uniqe and exiting moment that most of us never being there when it happend although thousandth of infants borens evry day all over the world. I think that I should share it with you fellow photographers, so I tried to bring it and share it here in very modest way, very "clean" way. Any comment ? Please share it with me. Thank you all Michael

Dando a luz, in spanish for giving birth, literal translation giving a light. There is some parallelism between your picture and peoples comments. The baby is coming out of a pleasant, warm surrounding to the harsh light reality of a new environment. Pushing and pulling is what we do from then on.

Its so easy to be a critic and the funny thing is: people are making comments about your picture ;¬) That proves that it has not gone unseen. Good for you! To me if a picture requires a second take, it has stopping power, it is a success. I am the hardest judge to myself, other peoples work either please me or they don't move me at all. If a picture makes others stop and look, it is successful. Who cares about points. Comments on improvement are welcome, bad grades are a thing of ego so don´t worry be happy. You do not have to justify to anyone about your work. Furthermore, some bad graders don't even post pictures, hmmmmm, this makes one wonder...who cares!

Michael do as the lady is doing push yourself for more. As for me, this was the picture that stopped me on my tracks in your portfolio...This, my friend don't mean a thing. Who gives a hoot if Leo likes your work or not. If you like your work, thats all that matters. Read on, take advise, and disregard the rest.

All right, people! There is nothing wrong with the light, all the hands are in the right place, and the composition is perfect! I think that the dark hands even add an interesting contrast, here. Who cares if you don't see the creases on the sheet in the lower right corner? This is not an ad. for bedsheets! The concept of aesthetics functions on a completely different level here than that of a romantic sunset, or a flower. Do the notions of hospital, blood, pain, doctors, and that awful looking thing being pulled out of that woman, evoke any sense of aesthetics, in the pure sense of the word? Not in me! But this is a dramatic moment, a complex procedure that needs all hands, and one that could determine life or death. This photo demonstrates this excellently in one shot and is, therefore, on the highest level - aesthetic. Well Done.
