looking for suggestions to take better pet photo"s

Photo taken at eye level which is good, and sharpness is fine. However, legs have been chopped off and background is distracting. Try a wider aperture to blurr background or recompose.

I looked twice... asked me wife to have a look an she told me to give it aesthetics 9 (she loves animals).

 

Yes, cutting off the legs was a bit of a botch... BUT! If you crop it to the head cutting off the top of the fence so that the eyes lie in the top third... you have a great photo. I love it!
