bill owens 0 Posted January 21, 2004 Very nice effect. The thumbnail drew me in -- "what the heck is that?" Upon seeing the enlargement, I still had to "process" for a second to understand what was going on. I like the tension added by the fork balancing on its side, the choice of textured cloth, the even focus and lighting on the cloth, the shadow softening nicely with distance from the fork, the strong light reflections on the fork that add "energy" and full grayscale to the photo, and the overall spacing/composition. Well considered choice of fork as well -- in so far as shadows are so often metaphor for evil, the transformation of a common fork into something demonic (pitchfork at top, curled tail at bottom) adds sizzle (pun intended) to the photo. root 0 Posted January 22, 2004 I like this a lot. The choice of three prong rather than four and the interesting handle make this hard to duplicate. The edge view which causes the fork to almost disappear is clever. Good choice of background. Link to comment
