Back a few years ago... That frost on the trees is a rare phenomenon, occuring when a very cold night (below -20 Celcius) follows a quite humid, warmer day... Close to rivers and lakes, the humidity then literally "sticks" to the trees, giving them that special look...

Very NICE!!! Reading through the critiques I am happy for your Kudos. All the critiques which have nit picking 'well they would have done this etc. " are the frosty hoars and cold weather often brings them out.

Keep driving.

Thanks to everyone for rating that high and kindly commenting this picture... I was not expecting that much... But I'm was happy to see one of my images reaching the top 10! I'll do every efforts to get back there! By the way, this picture was shot on Kodak Royal Gold 200.

Thanks for reminding me... I think it was ranking first for the "ratings" and "aesthetics". But I'm quite humble and I was already happy to see my picture to be in the top ones for that day. I try to do the best I can and since I started rating pictures on this site about a month ago, I realize I have a lot to learn... So I take the compliments as a "drive" to keep on going. But I like to see good comments from people like you, who have very nice pictures in their folders, who, I guess, are trying as hard as me to get the best pictures possible, even if they get frozen fingers! Thanks again!

Gilbert, admire your personality and I may spend more time on commenting on friends' work.

This one is really perfect and you have such good eyes and great moment to catch it. Days ago I drove far away to Vermont( one place is only 40km away from Canada border) and tried to catch some winter scenes. But I fail taking any photo. I need to learn more from you and many others. :)

I like to see the compliments about this shot... But I find funny is the fact that it goes back to my "photographic early days"! Thanks again Kurt!

J'aime beaucoup!

The look of your image reminds me a little of a color infrared photo; however, I have to say that, by looking at it, it conveys the cold of the day, despite the bright sun and glorious color. When an image makes such a visceral imact on a viewer, the photographer has done the best job possible. Congratulations!

By the way, it's "hoar frost" not "whore frost." That's an entirely different matter.
