This is a great shot. The wooden frame helps make it even better. The fact that one leaf stands out more than the others makes it more interesting. I hope you had gloves!. Regards, Jim.

Well seen! Nice triangular pattern in the leaves. Like the brown leaf balanced by the brown stem opposite. I'd put a grid on the image on screen and maybe do some very subtle teakying of the 'frame' using skew, but maybe being perfectly squared up wouldn't work as well.

Very lovely, Hanna. Great use of the natural frame. We've had some incredible frost in my region lately, and I've certainly tried to find some nice "close up" work, but alas, I barely hit the shutter button for lack of composition. Great work on this! cc

A wonderful photo! Lots of frozen texture and rich tonality. The composition is perfect. I'll bet you were freezing while taking this! ;-)

You have a great eye for these things, Hanna! I love the texture in the ice particles. And the framing is also wonderful!

Texture Texture Texture...wonderful,rich textures. The black shadows give just enough contrast to add depth while the symmetry of the frame anchors the randomness of the leaves.Carl's suggestion is interesting but it might look too perfect. You might want to experiment with the saturation of the blues, not a negative comment but only something you might have fun with here.Superb!

Well thankyou all for your supportive comments. It certainly was a nippy morning with the tripod nearly locking up on me. Carl and Thomas, I appreciate the suggestions. Might have a play with the colours. But I'm pretty happy with the frame the way it is.
