single photos Swan in Bristol

Hi,

 

I'm new to photography and dark room printing. Could any one give me

some suggestions, where I could do better in my next print or

shooting in similar future circumstance?

Try to remove the hair and dust from your negativ. you can use a little "pump". the swan is fine, maybe you can bring the reflecsion in the water more into the picture.

I´m also relatively new to the darkroom, so I guess we can learn from each other. In my view, you should take more care with the marks on your print. They appear either by dust on the film during the printing process, or by heavy manipulation of the print while it is not dry.

I would also give some room in front of the swan, so that it can go somewhere. The composition is too tight...

I'm assuming a bad scan. It looks a bit over exposed. The water looks too light and the highlights are missing all details.
