Under The Balinese

Suggestions on composition.

Something very nice about this photo. The tones are excellent and I like the waves between the supports. Not sure though about the building on the stilts in the right background. It is a little distracting.

I dont care for the odd look to the top right corner, PS gradient tool?

Actually, I think the compositional choices are the strongest thing about this image. I like the balance of the strong forward post on the right against the space behind it, and all against the detail and flow on the left. Not a traditional view, but I like it. The image is hypersharp, probably oversharpened, resulting in a bit of a 3D look, especially as it recedes into the background. I don't like the unnatural gradient in the sky. Enjoy.

I gave this a lower asthetic rating because I believe you have an image that with a rework could be much better. The above commnents about oversharpening etc. I gave you a higher rating for originality because it has potential.

I think I'd prefer it with the right hand side cropped off level with the base of the rightmost post. That would, to me, maintain the crowded appearence of the photo, and remove that gradient from the sky.
