nikonuserf100 0 Posted January 14, 2004 Mother nature comes through again with a wonderful backdrop for a nicely composed photo. Link to comment
umd 0 Posted January 15, 2004 Colors are good but lacks a subject of interest in my opinion, one of the boats would serve as one if were bigger or placed at a higher contrast part of the scene. Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted January 15, 2004 Gaudy colors (not a bad thing), but I must agree with the previous post--there is a real lack of subject. The colors are beautiful, but this, in the end, is only about color. Link to comment
john_calafut 0 Posted January 15, 2004 There's loads of great content in this photo to work with. Maybe crop a little off the bottom. I like square format, but here the foreground doesn't contribute that much, and cropping might then steer attention to the boat as the subject of the photo. Link to comment
1000wordsphotography 0 Posted January 15, 2004 Still one of my favorites that causes me to stop, stare, and whisper... Oh My God. Link to comment
thomas_breazeale1 0 Posted January 15, 2004 When I took this image I had three areas of interest in mind, the reflection of the colors on the wet sand, the detailed textures of the sand itself which is why I included so much foreground and of course the boats but not for primary focus.I would have actually preferred the boats or people not being in the composition because to me they are actually more of a distraction to what I was trying to achieve here.If you look elswhere in this folder you will see an image of moored boats taken on the same day but earlier, there the boats are the primary focus. Thanks for all of your comments, much appreciated! Guest Guest Posted January 16, 2004 Gorgeous color, the polarizer really added to it I think. Many shots don't work in 21/4 square format, this one does. You should put it in a clendar if you haven't lready. Link to comment
