kuekat 0 Posted January 11, 2004 Thanks for the comments, "Tony" is a ragdoll cat he is a blast to watch! I had just gotten my new camera "sony 828" and since it was way below 0 degrees here. Much too cold to do any outside shooting. I was sitting with it in my hands when Tony must have read my mind. Cause all of a sudden he started jumping around. I just took the shot. He is the star! kuekat 0 Posted January 11, 2004 And he is ready for more! He loves to play! For a further explanation he was chasing a feather toy and leaps like this after it. Link to comment
acearle 1 Posted January 12, 2004 Geeez, he looks like my flying squirrel...bet THEY'D get along :-). Great shot! Link to comment

a_m7 0 Posted January 12, 2004 This one caught my eye. There is something about it i cannot place yet. I think its the cats position all stretched out. The lighting is perfect. I almost thought this is was composite until i really gave it a good look. Link to comment
acearle 1 Posted January 12, 2004 Well, this shot is the hit of the day in the school office :-). Link to comment
kuekat 0 Posted January 12, 2004 Nothing special here, just a new camera and a crazy cat. No post processing other than the resizing. Just got a sony DSC-F828 and i was trying it out and Tony decided to play along. Thoughts or comments welcomed. Link to comment
leslie_may 0 Posted January 12, 2004 That is one athletic cat! Keep working on this--if you had a plainer background and could see some of his/her face, you'd have a 7/7 for sure. Very cool! Link to comment

knightshow 0 Posted January 12, 2004 Amazing capture. Although the photo lacks technical detail, the subject matter more than makes up for it. Excellent! Link to comment

kuekat 0 Posted January 12, 2004 Ok, I must say this photo sure is getting a lot of attention. To answer some of the questions. No the cat didnt get hurt he is up and jumping around like always. He was not picked up and tossed or anything like that. He was chasing one of those feather toys and this shot actually caught him at the height of his jump. As far as capturing the pic, to answer the question above it was totally spur of the moment there was no thought that went into it. I had just received my new camera Sony dsc-F828 and was trying to learn where all the controls were. I had it turned on and was adjusting exposures and testing the external flash i had bought for it to see if it would trigger with the camera. I noticed "Tony " had begun his routine of chasing the feather toy. I just pointed the camera set it in manual adjusted the ev to 0 set the aperture at F2.2 and figured about 1/40 i bounced the flash off the ceiling and here is the shot. Right as it came out of the camera. Ill say it was pretty good for a test shot! So there you have it Flying Tony!! Thanks for all the comments I think he will get a special meal tonite. don_harper_the_edge 0 Posted January 13, 2004 Super Cat flys with the greatest of ease! Love it, Cat's Rock!! Great exposure, I would like to see a series of these shots. Go For It. Link to comment
sionnac 0 Posted January 13, 2004 Fantastic! Looks like Matrix-cat. Have you ever seen the book "Mourka"? Great b/w photographs by Martha Swope - the "autobiography" of George Balanchine's cat Mourka, known for his balletic superleaps. It's by Balanchine's wife, Tanaquil Le Clerc. (Out of print I think.) c brake 0 Posted January 14, 2004 Omg, that is funny! It reminds me of a cat I had as a child that played hide and seek with us and climbed walls. Fun shot!! Thanks for sharing it. Link to comment
