Death Valley

I had been out on the sand dunes for a sunrise - somewhat

unsuccessful - and having packed up my camera gear I was hiking back

towards the road, when I came across this patch of dried mud.

Although the lighting was less than ideal as the sun had risen fairly

high in the sky, I still thought that it made a fairly worthwhile

image.

I like the angle & the composition. The pattern on the sand make a character of this pic, and bring my eyes to the grass and the sky.

David, Good decision! Serendipity strikes again! Very nicely composed with only a sliver of the beautiful deep rich blue, but otherwise uninteresting, sky. What are you using to scan these puppies? Best, LM.
