I like the lighting of this one. Great idea.Did you have to use your tripod for this or was this just a snap type photo? Because if no tripod was used I think this turned out really good. Good DOF.

I have a walking stick, the top of it can be removed to expose a camera mount. It is kind of like a monopod except that the head doesn't flip up to allow vertical shots. I always carry it when I go hiking. I may have used it on this shot, I'm not sure.
