pradeep satyaprakash 0 Posted January 4, 2004 I have to admit that this was only a snapshot of an interesting grating I saw while waiting outside a shop in SOHO. The original picture did not look this good. This photo has had its color deepend and the picture was cleaned up using some serious sharpening. What I liked about the picture is the shape of the little items inside each individual frames. There are so many "frames" in this picture, each with its own little world inside it, that I thought this photo was a reflection of all the little realities we carry around in our each individual heads, while this outer reality (the true Reality) is outside this picture and this entire frame. The blue walkway, which is the path cutting diagonal to the frame is seemingly the path out of this darkness, but if you notice, it too is bounded the constraints of the frame. Our path for enlightenment limited by our own limited contexts of what we think will lead us where we think we want to go. Maybe I should have called this piece "Expectation". Link to comment
javedrassi 3 Posted January 16, 2004 Stunning blue color and detail. Looks like a door or window? Link to comment
pradeep satyaprakash 0 Posted January 18, 2004 It's a covering of one of those New York street dumb waiters. The ones that let you access the warehouse underneath a building. The texture and detail in the original photo is excellent...this version truly does not do it justice. Thanks for your comments Javed. Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted November 13, 2004 This is a very nice abstract. I like the way it is composed, with the alternance of wide lines which lead in and out of the frame and the texture of small frames which are instead closed on themselves. Your interpretation is quite interesting as well. Link to comment
