I'm hoping for some thoughts on the toning of the shadows and

highlites, and tips on how you do it in PS?

Here, after converting to monochrome via the channel mixer, I used a

color balance adjustment layers to tone the shadows and highlites,

then used layer> options > blend if... command to apply the toning.

I WAS GOING TO USE THAT BACK DROP!

Awe man, I saw that the other day and was thinking "that'd be a cool spot to take some pictures..."

Of course I think it's cool because I was going to take a picture there.
