Sunny afternoon

bozovic

Some levels adjustments. Changed saturation on sky. Full frame. Apperture f5.6. Taken with borrowed Canon EOS 10D, all factory settings, ISO 100, 6MP, JPEG Fine.

Further comment: The camera's very nice, very capable and the six megapixels should be sufficient for most of the time; if you don't crop too much or don't print too large. But the viewfinder is rather small and the image buffer quickly full if you're on continous, shooting RAW. It handles JPEGs somewhat quickier but then you can't manipulate the parameters so easely. The software supplied is not good. Way too slow and with no realtime preview available. I hope the make it better with future versions.

This solitary hill has always been dear to me

And this hedge, which prevents me from seeing most of

The endless horizon.

But when I sit and gaze, I imagine, in my thoughts

Endless spaces beyond the hedge,

An all encompassing silence and a deeply profound quiet,

To the point that my heart is almost overwhelmed.

And when I hear the wind rustling through the trees

I compare its voice to the infinite silence.

And eternity occurs to me, and all the ages past,

And the present time, and its sound.

Amidst this immensity my thought drowns:

And to flounder in this sea is sweet to me.

(L'infinito, Giacomo Leopardi)

This is a beautif pastoral scene with interesting geometry. Good placement of the cyclist and all elements for that matter. It does not evoke a lot of emotion in me, personally, but I think you captured all the right things in this shot.

Pictures of roads are very common. So are pictures of roads and single trees. The exposure is very nice. The content is average and not very exciting.
