I think I would have liked a lower angle on this one... but you did manage good separation from the background which with this bird is difficult. Well done.

Nice picture. It appears to be in focus showing lots of detail. But There is so much stuff on the ground that its distracting my attention from the bird.

Birds like this are one of the most overshot subjects in the world, and because of that, you really have to get creative in the way you present a shot of them. You really didn't do anything with this bird, other than maybe getting down on your knees. Utilizing everything you have control over is absolutely necessary to make a picture of a bird stand out in photography. However, it's not a bad shot, just no zeal in it.
