vdp 12 Posted January 1, 2004 I like this photograph. It is like a family portrait. Everyone looks so dignified and so regal. Link to comment
r_christopher_vest 0 Posted January 1, 2004 a tad of overexposure in the whites and what is probably the photographer's shadow in the middle are small concerns-- more than compensated by this balanced and noble panoply. Link to comment
tpaul 0 Posted January 1, 2004 I do love my dogs and can appreciate the split second timing involved to get this shot. The shadow is a little distracting but the overall flavor works for me.A great capture of man's best Link to comment
cara_oconnell 0 Posted January 1, 2004 The set up is really nice, do you do a lot of animal shots? I think it would be a fun thing with owner and animals.Cara Link to comment
ciofalo 0 Posted January 1, 2004 Street gang? Oh, no - these look more like Supreme Court judges, sitting on a trial. See if you can bring out some details in the white areas, which look too washed out (at least in the posted jpeg). Not much to do for your (?) shadow, but a bit of cloning around it might easily make its shape less obviously recognizable. Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted January 1, 2004 Great thought for a title. Thanks for the idea and thanks to everyone for the feedback. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted January 1, 2004 I like the pose a lot - my only criticism is the background with the contrast from the white on the left to the darker wall on the right. I find it distracts me from those sweet faces. You sure do have some photo ops with those pups! Link to comment
kuekat 0 Posted January 1, 2004 I agree with Kims comment that white is very bright.....no rhyme intended :) Link to comment
robert_fisher 0 Posted January 2, 2004 Howard, there is nothing technically wrong with this image that can not be cured with in PS. Perhaps it is because I am a "dog nut" but IMO this is such a refreshing and loving image of these beautiful doggies. Link to comment
wpope1 2 Posted January 2, 2004 I do love Collies! I wish I had more than one. The photo looks posed very well. It must have been a chore to get them all facing forward at the same time. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 4, 2004 I'm just a sucker for this shot. Second pooch from left is collie-shepherd:-)? Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted January 23, 2004 Looks like there is a black sheep in the family....must be a middle child :-) Great portait. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted January 28, 2004 Hi Howard, I just had to put down my 9 months old Sheltie due to Demodex mites complicated by red mange and thyriodism. Tried many doctors and the best medicine but it was downhill all the way after 2 months. You can see from the photo it started from her paws. We were all real sad and miss her a lot. Your photos bring back fond memories. Thanks for sharing. Link to comment
