jennifercatron 9 Posted January 1, 2004 Nicely shot. The composition you chose although standard works well for the shot. Nice cropping. Good job. Link to comment
barry conklin 0 Posted January 1, 2004 A very fine photograph, but a little too blue for my taste.I think it would look cold enough without the excess blue. Link to comment
michael_wagner2 0 Posted January 1, 2004 How was the short hike to the lake in winter? This is a nice image of a beautiful spot that is difficult to photograph due to the location, lighting, etc. Link to comment
alethea_hollis 0 Posted January 1, 2004 Have come to expect some spectacular shots from you and this one does not disappoint. Unlike others, I don't know this area so an unbiased view would be that the colours are just stunning, and add another dimension to a fabulous scene. This one is special - I could look at it for hours. Nice job is an understatement. Alethea Link to comment
morey_kitzman 0 Posted January 1, 2004 Alethea Thanks for your comment, it is most appreciated. I don't know if you can tell from the photo, but the water is frozen solid and this is what gives it the blue color. It is quite remarkable to see it go from emerald green in the summer to this sapphire blue of winter. Also, you can see that the ice formations do not have a blue cast, so there is no manipulation of color here. Michael The hike up is about an hour on snow packed terrain, not too bad a jaunt. Thanks. stp 6 Posted January 3, 2004 Very nice image. I have no trouble believing the colors. I didn't realize the pond was frozen; wish a merganser was standing on it. I like the straightforward image and cropping. Link to comment
