Untitled

I used Corel Photo Paint to mirror the left side, trying to get some depth in the image. That's all I did.

I think it's the first digital alteration that I submit for critique.

I'd appreciate any comments so that I get better ideas.

Thanks for looking, and Happy New Year!

Nicely done! This is just the type of photograph I like. You have hidden the effect quite nicely by icluding the pole at the end, aldo by keeping the clouds natural-looking. Nice job!

Composition wise, you're going to have a hard time with critics because of the straight on effect of your lines. Im not very big on having to have offset lines. What matters to me is what the overall image does for me. Color is nice, exposure is appropriate for what you shot, and you don't seem to have anything sticking out anywhere that detracts from the shot. So I say bravo to those things. Nice job.

Thanks a lot guys! I think I'll try some more tomorrow :-)

>> thought how strange, is it a viaduct ?

No, it's not. Here, at Aberdeen beach, they have something like a wooden wall every 100 meters or so. I guess it's to stop the water taking the sand away.

I'm attaching (I hope it works) a view from the promenade, so that you can see more of these "walls" in one view.
