darrin james 0 Posted December 31, 2003 The colours of Marrakech and the traditional dress blend together in an exotic mix. www.djphotography.net Link to comment
jennifercatron 9 Posted December 31, 2003 Composition on this is excellent, color is excellent, the lack of sharpness in the man is outweighed by all the other excellent features, and in fact may add to the piece in showing his hurried walk. Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted January 1, 2004 I like the three separate elements, and especially the lamp and its shadow framing the figure. Very effective. Link to comment

mnigro 0 Posted January 1, 2004 great composition. I wonder what it might look like without the person. Link to comment
sogeri_pilpoil 0 Posted January 2, 2004 Superb ! Very tasteful colors, and quite modern sight to provide a feeling about Marrakech, but there only one can feel how ancient and modern style are melted in harmony. Even in the empty upper left part, quite big as the desert... One point should have make it perfect : the shadows at midday should have given a better effect of heat, may be ? But you shouldn't have got the same picture. Link to comment
miles1 0 Posted May 4, 2005 This is extraordinary. Unbelieveable timing and stunning composition. Is this a "stakeout" picture, i.e. waiting for someone to move into position? One of the very best on photo.net. Link to comment
Palouse 6 Posted September 7, 2009 I love it--not only for the rich color and the leading lines of the pavement, but for the fact that it appears to break the basic rules of composition-namely, always have space for your subject to move in to (that is, have the subject walk into, rather than out of, the frame). Here he is, walking out of the frame but framed by the light and its shadow, he also provides a counterpoint for the stark, linear bench while mimicking the wall color, and most importantly we get to see his shadow, without which this picture with simply be a snapshot. BRAVO! Link to comment
