wpope1 2 Posted December 29, 2003 Howard, I have a collie just like this! She is 3 yrs. old and her name is Lady. Good photo! It captures her personality well. Link to comment

apps 0 Posted December 29, 2003 The depth of field is excellent. The expression and angle of the head combine to make this a wonderful portrait. The detail in the coat (well, I guess this speaks to DOF), is terrific. I have one little wish for this image...I wish the eye in the shadow was a little more illuminated. What a beautful dog! jliechty 0 Posted December 29, 2003 Beautiful portrait of your dog, Howard. I have a Shetland Sheepdog ("Lady"); Collies and Shelties are, IMHO, some of the finest pets, with superb personalities (Shelties, however, can be hard to photograph, because they tend to be hyper - mine becomes even more so when she sees a camera, making her a challenge to photograph with my non-AF SLR). charles_twiss1 0 Posted December 29, 2003 Lighting a bit too strong on one side but I really am looking for fault now! Nice picture, the sort you would'nt get fed of hanging on your wall even if the dog was not yours. Link to comment
drew_gratts 0 Posted December 30, 2003 to add... good shot. high definition. Closeup is great.. Thanks for looking and sharing.. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted December 31, 2003 I like the pose of the dog - slightly angled head, which works better than a straight-on shot with a pointy-nosed pup! :) Link to comment
michaelk 0 Posted September 8, 2004 GOD I hate dog pics, there are a billion of them online and most poor. Can you tell I am a cat person. HOWEVER!!!! I was once a child with a dog and life was good and this brings all those memories back. This is simply a GREAT portrait. Great DOF, great everything, tach sharp focus.A/7 O/6 Link to comment
