Three Empty Chairs

Did some cropping and converting to BW. Also gave it a grainy look. Any thoughts? She's my daughter. Isn't she sweet? :-)

very pretty girl...great tones...wonderful concept. I find the background too busy for my taste, though. But what can you do? Nothing that i can see, except maybe shoot this in a studio :-) Great idea, but again, too bad about the BG.

Nice pose, but the fact that the face of the child is partly hidden, the eyes closed and the foreground sharpness questionable (from what I can see, of course) detract from the overall effect. Considering your title, it would probably be advisable to crop the bit of extra chair visible on the left so as to highlight a single, empty chair.

Ironically, the face being hidden is part of what made me like the image. :-) Subjective art? Thanks for the comment!

You have free access to such a fabulous model! I'm so envious.

I like the fact that here eyes are hidden and closed.

I really don't understand how the chairs could be the subject of this image (aren't there actually 4 of them, by the way). The title of the image and the fact that her face is out of focus (looks very pixelated) entirely detract from what is more or less a good composition. Focus on the eyes. Let the background go out of focus. Get a telephoto lens and take a step or two back if you have to.

I was thinking that maybe since the title was about the empty chairs that maybe there was somehting to do with the girls look and why the chairs were empty. Perhaps a morning or passing away of someone?

Really nice image, Joe!

Your little girl's pose suggests a simple innocence.

Well done!

Kind regards,

Chris

P.S. Thanks for your recent comment on my 'seagull spat' pic!
