marlene_degrood 0 Posted December 26, 2003 I altered that background on this image to soften it and give it a painted look, pretty much untouched are the cactus and the tree in the middle of them although I did soften them ever so slightly. I would really appreciate your opinions. Thank You! Link to comment
arniemilowsky 0 Posted December 26, 2003 I like the image, but wonder how it would look if the background were a bit more blurred; to create a shallower depth of field look. If you have the background in a separate PS layer, it would be easy to try. Link to comment
marlene_degrood 0 Posted December 26, 2003 Not a bad idea....I'll give it try. Thank you! Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted December 26, 2003 It is like a painting. I don't like worked-on photos, Marlene, but I can't help but drool over yours! Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted December 27, 2003 I like the texture and colors in this. Again, the effects you use enhance the image, rather than detract. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 29, 2003 Composition and color mood are wonderful. The textured treatment of the background mimicks the cactus fruit. Just about everthing works marvelously, although the upper right appears a bit faceted and attracts attention to itself. Originality should be appraised not on whether something has been done before or not, but how what has been applied affects the viewer's subjective experience of the image. Here, the PS treatment is superbly considered and effective. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted July 7, 2004 This is one of my favorites. I am enjoying looking at all your images. The P/S effects are gorgeous. Photoshop is wonderful, but unless you know what to change and what not to change, the end results are not always so beautiful. You have mastered both the photography aspect in combination with the P/S tool. Again I am inspired. Link to comment
