justin_kasulka 0 Posted June 15, 2001 Just want to know what I could do to improve on this idea. Thanks for looking! Link to comment
jenniferannecourt 0 Posted June 15, 2001 Maybe look for a better background so the cat sticks out more. It's all about colors. Link to comment
mgvaughan.com 0 Posted June 15, 2001 I like the fish eye effect for this particular shot. If color is a problem switch it to b/w. Personally, I like it for what it is. Link to comment
dd-b 0 Posted June 16, 2001 The fisheye makes this a cartoon cat, and the flat red floor contributes to that view. Link to comment
frank_page 0 Posted June 18, 2001 This is a fun and funny picture. It is growing on me. One suggestion which is a quite knit-picky, but if the cat was looking down just a touch so we got more eyes (and a bit less nose)... but who can coach a cat into the exactly correct pose? Nice shot. jonah_cheung 0 Posted June 21, 2001 I don't see any artistic merit here. It's just a gimmicky use of a fish-eye lens. Link to comment
jim hathaway 0 Posted June 22, 2001 Okay, but it's still funny. It makes the cat look like a dog. Interesting concept, why not? Link to comment
b._norwood 0 Posted November 16, 2001 Jonah - You've got some pretty "gimmicky" stuff in your portfolio, too. (ie., toning, zooming, infrared in the cemetary.)(But also some black & white images with good composition and range of tonality, too!)From your comments about other's images, you're too judgmental with your definition of "art".(Ah, youth...)Tiger is a fun shot, which I think could be improved with a simpler, all red background.B. gauthier 0 Posted March 12, 2002 I really like this - I agree that a simpler background would help, but fisheye lenses are so wide you can't always chose. You should visit the Fisheye User Group - and maybe submit this photo. http://www.photo.net/shared/community-member?user_id=464639 Link to comment
