Stream and Trees

Overall the scene probably is a bit too busy. I can see what you mean about the light.

However, none of the individual elements in the shot are strong enough to grab the attention IMO. The branches in the shot are good at acting as a framing device, but then you need a strong focus within that frame. The tree in the background may have been that strong subject, but would have needed to be sharp and in focus.

As it is, it's a nice scene, but lacks that extra bit of bite.
