La dame de fer (the iron lady)/la tour eiffel (Trocadéro side)
It is standing near, almost under, the Eiffel tower where one is hit with the immensity of this enduring lattice designed by Koechlin, Nouguier, and Sauvestre and feel the weight of the 7,300 tons of wrought-iron.  It is there too where you cannot help but notice the names of 72 French scientists, engineers and mathematicians prominently engraved in iron.
