I'm still thinking about desaturating the blue color, but I'm still

not sure if it adds or detracts from the image. Is it an interesting

image? I feel something for it, but that feeling may be too

subjective.

She's looking to the right. Somehow it seems to me that she should be on the left side of the image then since I don't have any interest in what she's ignoring, just what she's interested in.

Interesting, I like the composition. It makes her look distracted - looking at nothing at all, whereas if the shot had included space to the right, it would have been about what she was looking at, rather than her mood.

 

I must say, however, that the question as to the impact, I think it would have possibly been better without such heavy manipulation. In this case it has gone to the point of being the first thing you think of when you look at the picture, rather than the image itself.

 

I'm not a purist as-such, but I'm not a fan when it overtakes the image itself.
