Thessaloniki Port Crane Monument during twilight

A picture of the Thessaloniki Port Crane Monument. It was built in the early 1900s by the local Jewish architect Eli Modiano, based on designs by the Franco-Levantine architect Alexander Vallaury 1. The monument was originally used as a crane to load and unload cargo from ships 2. It has been restored and preserved as a monument since 1977.
