Wayne Sadler 558 Posted January 6, 2023 IMHO the 7 ft tall soldiers of the Korean War Veterans Memorial in the National Mall in Washington, D.C. are the most powerful memorial in the National Mall. I’ve never “served” in any war or conflict but these statues send chills through me. It’s as if their realistic yet larger than life forms with weapons and rain ponchos moving through the juniper and other foliage of the mall make the war real again. I guess a good war memorial should cause us to never forget. 1 Link to comment
