ricdphoto 0 Posted December 19, 2003 I was using my 135 for the first time at the track, and this was the last race for Cadillac. The fullsize image is very clear except for the rear tire - he was actually sliding as I shot this. Link to comment

smokey_mcpot 0 Posted December 19, 2003 The reason why the back portion of the car is not in focus is because of the angle you were shooting at while panning. There is almost nothing you can do about it (cars are hard to get completely in focus because they are long, motorcycles are easier cause they are shorter) You did a great job with panning and you picked an appropriate shutter speed for this shot. tim_adams 0 Posted December 20, 2003 Nice panning shot. Too bad GM failed so miserably at LeMans with this car. Link to comment
ken_trout 0 Posted December 22, 2003 ... my favorite racing cars. I'm not sure why, they never got great results. But they sure are pretty. The picture is good. Its tough getting decent shots of racing cars, and I believe you succeeded. Link to comment
witolda_maruszewska 0 Posted January 9, 2004 Not a bad effort. Ideally you need to focus on the driver's head though, rather than on the car. The blur on the back is fine, but this exposure makes the car look a little washed out, particularly since the tones of the car and track are very similar. As a result, the photo doesn't stand out as much as it could. Link to comment
