I photographed this crow harassing an osprey with Nikon D850, Sigma 150-600mm Sport telephoto, f/8, 1/2000sec, ISO 250. Thanks for your comments.

Giangiorgio...Like so many of your choice shots, you were again dead on with the timing ....I especially like the surprised look on the osprey at being challenged by the crow.I have not been so active with the camera for a while and lost touch with this new PN,so hope you are well my friend! Welcome back Laurent, thank you very much for your comment which is always very welcome. it's been a long time since we've heard from each other, unfortunately I don't find myself in this new photo net. when I open it, this writing appears "The page you requested does not exist " and all my galleries no longer appear. I was hoping it would fix itself soon, but it's been months and nothing has fixed itself. our friend Pierre advised me to use these galleries to post photos. I miss your beautiful winter photos, let me know in which gallery you post them, ciao Giangiorgio

Giangiorgio...I am totally like you about the new PN and I long the day the galleries will find their way back in the menu;the photos are back but in the order in which they were uploaded which is a real nightmare especially when there is a large quantity of images.New photos which are being uploaded now in the different PN galleries just get added to the bulk in your portfolio and I wonder how we are going to be able to recover these to put them in our proper galleries which we,older members, have meticulously constructed over the years. Winter is here but we have no snow on the ground and the forcast is for rain,so it will probably have an unusual green Christmas,so the images of snowy landscapes will have to wait...some!Hope you and yours will have some Happy Holidays,my friend! Salutations-Laurent

Hi Giangiorgio, I agree with Laurent (all of the above). I also notice the id bands on the Osprey. Some of these birds in my area were banded by the government US Fish & Wildlife to monitor their comeback. Sadly the population of large raptors (Osprey & Bald Eagle) in the mid-Atlantic region was nearly decimated by pesticides, but making a comeback recently since the ban of DDT in particular, and initiatives to clean up rivers and estuaries. Not happy with this new format, but will continue to work with it as time permits. My very best for the holiday season and new year. Ciao, Charles.

Yes, my friends, the situation with this "new photo.net" is bad as can be and Mr. mjensen doesn't respond to our suggestions and questions which is the worst of all, didn't we already have an administrator who didn't respond?!

Nevertheless, we may continue with our neglecting of the problems because there's nothing (obviously) that we can do!

Why not you see my recently uploaded picture and possibly comment it!

Cheers to that

Charles many thanks for your appreciated comment always welcome. From the identification bands and their acronyms we were able to trace the origin of this osprey, two months before the photo in Sardinia, this osprey was in Finland, a really long journey. I also hope that Photo.net returns to the old traditions, as it is at the moment, I am not happy with it. I reciprocate Christmas greetings and wish you a happy New Year, ciao Giangiorgio
