john falkenstine 1 Posted December 18, 2003 I actually had an Underwood like this and used it in high school. It really developed the finger muscles. Excellent photograph. Link to comment
Link to comment
hanna_cowpe 0 Posted December 19, 2003 Very nostalgic. I have to admit I actually learned to type on one of these hulks. I would like to see a hint of the base as it seems to float in space. It might be my monitor though. Also I wish the tape was not crossing the red area, but rather just below it - a minor detail. Nice idea for an image. Link to comment

audah 0 Posted December 19, 2003 Excellent still life photograph and very good lighting. Remind me my grandfather's machine, thanks for sharing it! Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted December 19, 2003 I like the lighting on this, YES! but also the stream of red that provides just the right contrast...well done. Link to comment
misterken 0 Posted December 21, 2003 Yes, I learned on one of these finger exercisers too and only recently retired my electric version which occassionaly saw duty for addressing envelopes. I like the lighting and composition on this. Good work. - Mister Ken Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted December 23, 2003 i like the picture but one question and one critic :-why a large black space on the left ?-one (two?) centimeter above would have left "underwood" readable.the red ribbon on the black work very well.merry christmas and have fun.pingu Link to comment
stefano.muzio 0 Posted January 9, 2004 Più a Sinistra, Francesco... E un po' meno nero... Sarebbe perfetta... Link to comment
fabio_blanco 0 Posted January 10, 2004 Che posso dire, con te mi ripeto sempre... BRAVO e basta. Link to comment
Bella. Link to comment
cálico 0 Posted February 23, 2004 I learned on one of those contraptions.... sure brings back memories trying to slap those keys with my fingertips! That was way back in 1953-54 when I was in the second grade. Sheesh, that image makes me feel old! I like the way the ribbon falls over (remember that happening when I was changing the over-used ribbons). Great image. Good show! Link to comment
