Tremont Street in the middle of a blizzard

I took this in early December during the big snowstorm in Boston; i

had been out for a couple hours on x-country skis, and my old olympus

was pretty thrashed. it was making unhappy noises extending the

lens, and it got so iced over after this picture that i wound up

licking it clean (and it did take pictures successfully later in the

day). But anyway, i like this picture a lot, even though it's kinda

messy. Also, i made it black & white in Photoshop, because there

really were only two patches of color, and they were distracting.

I really like this photo. It has a bit of an "old fashioned" feel to it. It really captures the weather and feeling at that moment in time.

I think having pedestrians in a little closer to the foreground would do wonders for this photo. Although... having the people small definitely shows the scale (perspective).

Perhaps you should crop a bit of your good picture.

I like this, a bit to big view well, but I do like the grainy look and old fashioned feel. Desaturating was a good choice IMO.
