mark cohran 0 Posted December 13, 2003 I really like the framing. That's what makes this photo stand out. The out of focus upper left corner and the blown out highlights on the left side of the photo are what keeps this from being a 7/6 to me. I think a bit of dodging and a greater DOF would have helped, but all in all and excellent shot. Link to comment
acearle 1 Posted December 13, 2003 This is a VERY cool shot! I love the framing of the cave mouth, where the head and arms are placed. Excellent shot! Link to comment
jespdj 0 Posted December 14, 2003 Good photo, nice framing with the cave. I think the tattoo on her belly is distracting (it draws too much attention). Also you can see tan lines from her swim suit, maybe you'd want to edit that away a little bit. Link to comment

photonic 0 Posted December 15, 2003 Can somebody explain to me why people HAVE to make stupid comments (that is for Jesper de Jong)???? Wonderful lighting and grey tones... Link to comment

leica_virgin2 0 Posted December 16, 2003 I agree with Geoffrey: Jesper de Jong's comment was not stupid, and nor was it rude. The tattoo does draw attention to itself, and is therefore a distraction. Nobody has said that the tattoo is ugly, or that the model shouldn't have tattoos... but if a brightly lit "something" can be distracting, why can't a tattoo?I like the photo, but would have preferred the photographer to be lower, so as to give less of the legs and more of the face/hair and arms - just a personal preference!! russell_carey1 0 Posted December 16, 2003 Camera angle was very precise cut head (in particular) and arms just that way - but I see where your coming from. Agree with the tatt and tan line thing my self - but these are commisioned and when someone spends money on a tatt they don't want it retouched by a bone head like me - lol Link to comment
leica_virgin2 0 Posted December 16, 2003 Russell, it is a nice photo, well done!! And yes, as it was a commisioned photo, it is more than reasonable to include the tattoo - after all, it is 'part' of the client and she wants it in the photo!! However, we can only critique what we see; you hadn't told us previously if she commisioned you, or you her!! Certainly, my comments are never meant to hurt the model's feelings (I know you understand this)... again, well done! :-) Link to comment
russell_carey1 0 Posted December 17, 2003 I understand completely - I'm never offended by any comments - just very happy to take all comments and constructive critiques. Thats how we get better! Cheers and thanks again! Link to comment
